Andres Beltran is a LA-based Colombian writer and director. His second feature film, a horror movie entitled 'Llanto Maldito' (Tarumama), was part of the Official Section of the Sitges International Film Festival in 2021 and was acquired and released that same year by HBO Max. It also received a special mention for its script at the Sitges Pitchbox 2018. This movie also received the Chemistry Award and the Méliès International Festivals Federation Award for Best Ibero-American Film at Ventana Sur's Blood Window 'Works in Progress' in 2020. His short film 'Vanity Mirror' premiered in the Brigadoon section of Sitges 2021. His debut feature film 'Malos Dias' (Bad Days) was premiered in the official selection of the Warsaw International Film Festival, Poland, in 2015. Furthermore, Andres has directed several TV Series including: 'La Ley Secreta' (Undercover Law), a Caracol and Netflix co-production that was nominated for Best Series at the Produ Awards; 'Bolívar', with which he obtained the nomination for best director at the Seoul International Drama Awards, and was the winner of the Golden Bird Prize for Best Serial Drama in 2020. With this production he also received the Best Director Award at the India Catalina Awards of Colombia. Also 'Distrito Salvaje' (Wild District), the first Netflix Original series from Colombia, which was nominated for Best Series at the Platino Awards. In 2021, Andres directed and co-created 'MalaYerba', the first Original StarzPlay series produced in Colombia by Dynamo, Pantaya and Sony. That same year he directed a Netflix original series entitled 'Ritmo Salvaje' ('Savage Rhythm') and 'Primate', an Amazon Exclusive series. In 2022 he directed 'Quicksand', his first English Language film, written by Matt Pitts ('Westworld'). His latest credits include 'Socorro', a Paramount + Original horror series shot in Mexico, and 'La Hora Marcada', a reboot of the classic Mexican horror TV series.

En el 2019 dirigió la segunda temporada de la primera serie original de Netflix en Colombia, 'Distrito Salvaje' (Wild District), que fue nominada a Mejor Serie en los Premios Platino. En el 2021, dirigió y fue el co-creador de la primera serie Original de StarzPlay de habla hispana, 'MalaYerba', producida por Dynamo, Pantaya y Sony.
